New Album

The new Mourning Beloveth album will be recorded in Studio e, Germany in October. We are in the process of writing the new material with two songs complete, two nearing completion and 4 more still in their embryonic stages. By the time the album is ready to record we should have 6 tracks and they will display an eclectic mix of soft acoustic guitars combined together with driving melodies and mesmerising, slow guttural soul crushing doom. The apocalyptic atmospheres of certain sections are only highlighted by the intensity and bleak diversification of the more up-tempo parts creating a melting pot of desolate DOOM METAL. The lyrical content is one of light and shade, the extremes of life and the grey cosmos between where as vocally the concept of extremes are again employed as Darren and Frank trade off ethereal harmonies with mind destroying growls that has been a trademark of previous releases.

DSR Tour
Well, another tour over and another territory gained. It's hard to believe this years trek of doom was our 3rd tour abroad in 14 months. This time we thankfully got to play Germany which for me made this trip one of the highlights of our history together as a group. The usual moments of madness and craziness that tend to follow MB around struck at times again and again to help keep everyone on their toes.

It began at Doom Shall Rise and what an amazing setting for two days of doom, drink and a lot of fun. We played before Count Raven on the Saturday night in front of 500 people. It was a nerve wrecking experience but we played a great set and it went down very well with a very enthusiastic crowd. We had 50 people up front singing parts of the songs and the sound on stage really helped us. On then to three days in Germany kicking off with a great gig in Rockfabrik after a night of mayhem and ice t in our tour managers house. Two more dates in Munich and Nurenberg were well attended and then on to a night of madness in Wurzburg where we had time to do a bit of sightseeing before the gig. Nice city full of old gothic cathedrals and huge bridges. We then moved to Holland and the Baroeg where we played first and it was an under par performance due to lack of sleep and too much alcohol the night before but the next night in Vera really made up for it. Great sound, lighting and great food and we sold all our merchandise on that night, it was probably one of our best performances of the tour and the large crowd seemed to enjoy it too. And finally to the Belgian Doom Night and we met a lot of friends before the set so it was like playing in our home town. We even got called back for an encore and some were shouting for In Mourning my Days which we hadn't played since the previous June but it went down well and there was a lot of energy in the air that night, or was it the Belgian beer that was flowing…..?

A big thank you to Pim, Jochen, Frank, Roman, Manu, Joe, Fred, Heiko, Tom-Grau,Peter Sandra and Simone for the food, bed and showers, our friends from Ireland who travelled over to DSR and BDN, Albert/Peter from Reverend Bizarre and guys from Jack Frost, Stefan Glas, Davidian, and to the other bands we played with especially While Heaven Wept, Thee Plague of Gentlemen, Pantheist, Orodruin ,Officium Triste,Mirror of Deception, Penance and finally Mark/psychedoomelic.

We have added picture of DOA and DSR tours and the setlists of the DSR tour to the gig history.

Merchandise

The TSS shirts arrived two days before the tour so we brought half them with us and sold out of them before the tour was over. We still have approximately 30 left so get your orders in quick. They are also available from Aftermath Music. The sample Dust shirt arrived this week so we should see them in the coming weeks. As for the dvd we have a lot more footage from the DSR tour and a great sound on cd from the Vera gig, when we get the DSR fest footage and sound the dvd should follow soon.
